Once our renovations are complete, Kairos DC will host various small-group seminars (maximum capacity of 25) with subjects that range from early education, mental health taboos, gardening with heart, faith-based discussions, multi-cultural awareness, and more.

*Aside from our Kairos open houses and other sponsored events (indicated with ⭐️), we ask attendants to consider contributing small donations to help cover the costs of our speakers’ and seminar participants’ time & travels.

Unless otherwise noted, light refreshments and childcare will available

Gardening with Heart

Art therapy : for kids

Drawing from the experience and expertise of an Art Educator and Art Education Program Manager, parents can learn about the importance of art, creativity, and coordination of imagination.

Art activities will be available for children who join the session.

 

 

Montessori basics ⭐️

Come into a real Montessori classroom and learn more about the differences between Montessori & traditional education models for early education. Touch the materials for the children and understand what everything aims to teach. Ask any and all questions that you might have! Individual inquiries will also be welcome.

 

Mental Health taboos

Join us as we learn from our beloved friend and colleague Dr. Kim, DO, from NYU Langone Health’s Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Kim will guide the discussion with a short lecture discussing taboos and misunderstandings about our mental health.

Restorative Justice vs. retributive justice ⭐️

Including the topic of Economic Justice, a deep discussion will be held on the differences in the two differing themes that lie in the heart of Christian faith: Restorative Justice and Retributive Justice.

A small panel of professionals from various cultural backgrounds will come together to share their experiences and ask/answer questions in an absolute No Judgement zone.

Leaving biases and political correctness at the door, discussions will be raw and real.

Sam An, joined by other guest speakers and thoughtful leaders, will guide a theological discussion on one of the most sensitive and most pondered upon topics in Christianity: Christ, us, and different schools of thought on ATONEMENT.
